Job description Technical Product Designer
Technical product designers specializing in machine and plant design are involved in the development of plants, machines and vehicles. They create three-dimensional data models and technical documentations for components and assemblies.
- Development, construction and design of individual parts, assemblies and systems in all details using 3-D CAD systems as data models for function and assembly and selection of suitable materials, semi-finished products and standard parts - carry out all necessary calculations
- Selection of suitable machine elements in the design process
- Detailing the design - taking economic and quality assurance aspects into account during the work
- Creation of technical documentation from the data models
- Creation of production documents, parts lists, standard lists, maintaining technical data
Requirements:
- intermediate level of education
- general, intellectual capacity
- abstract-logical and computational thinking
- spatial imagination (e.g. three-dimensional presentation)
- technical understanding
- good achievements in mathematics, physics, computer science, works and technology
- willingness to engage and learn, self-confidence, initiative, ability to work in a team, flexibility and quick comprehension
- good communication skills, good expression skills in German and English
Further training and development opportunities:
Specialization through additional specialist knowledge, technician in mechanical engineering; technical specialist, design engineer, as well as a degree in mechanical engineering and plant construction
