Job description Machining Mechanic
The apprenticeship as a machining mechanic enables a varied job in the company. The training imparts skills and knowledge primarily in the training workshop, but also in a practical way in machining production.
Machining mechanics usually produce precision components from metal and high-performance materials using machining processes such as turning, milling, drilling and grinding. Normally they work with CNC tool machines. They set them up and monitor the manufacturing process.
In addition to specialist knowledge, the requirement profile also includes technical understanding, spatial imagination, self-organization, enjoyment of metal processing, responsible behavior, reliability and an interest in continuous further development.
Requirements:
- good qualifying lower secondary school leaving certificate or intermediate educational qualification
- interest in practical activities such as turning, milling, quality control, maintenance and inspection tasks
- interest in theoretical activities such as planning manufacturing processes, creating CNC programs, etc.
- good performance in mathematics, physics, works/technology
- willingness to engage and learn, self-confidence, initiative, ability to work in a team, flexibility and quick comprehension
- good communication skills, good expressiveness
